Chapter 01
Five systems, one applicator
Mansuetto Roofing applies five commercial roofing systems: single ply, modified, built up, metal and slate. As applicators of all major manufacturers' roofing systems, the company is not tied to one product line, which means the system on a given building is chosen for that building rather than for whatever a single manufacturer happens to sell.
In general terms, a single ply system is a single layer synthetic membrane rolled and sealed across a low slope deck. A built up system layers bitumen and felts into a heavier, more traditional low slope assembly, and a modified system uses polymer modified bitumen sheets that sit somewhere between the two. Standing seam metal roofing runs continuous panels with concealed fasteners at the seams, the kind visible over the Martins Ferry and Weirton school buildings, and slate remains the standard where a steep slope building calls for a durable, traditional finish.

Matching the system to the building and its environment
A well designed roof has to do more than keep water out. It has to perform reliably within the demands of the building it covers and the environment around it. Mansuetto Roofing takes a disciplined approach to design and installation, working to make sure each system meets the building's functional requirements while respecting its architectural intent rather than treating every roof as interchangeable.
That same discipline carries into occupied buildings. Much of the company's education and institutional work happens on school campuses and public facilities that stay in use while the roof above them is designed and applied, so the system chosen has to fit the building's schedule and operations as much as its climate and structure.
Chapter 03
Integrated sheet metal at the edges
A roofing system does not end at the field of the membrane or the metal panels. Mansuetto also provides integrated architectural sheet metal work, including gutters, downspouts and copings, so that water management and the durability of the roof are planned as one job rather than two separate trades meeting by chance at the edge.
